Have you heard of face yoga? This new beauty trend claims that by performing a series of simple facial exercises, you can reverse signs of aging. If you’re curious about face yoga, keep reading! We’ll explain what it is, whether it works, and how to try face yoga exercises for yourself.

What is Face Yoga?

Face yoga is a series of facial exercises that allegedly help to slim and tone the face and reduce signs of aging like wrinkles and loose skin. It’s thought that by working the face’s underlying muscles, you can effectively tone the face for a more youthful appearance.

Does Face Yoga Work?

There is little clinical evidence that face yoga works, but that doesn’t mean it’s not effective. More scientific research is needed to confirm or deny whether face yoga works. However, anecdotal evidence in the form of photos of face yoga results does indicate that face yoga can indeed be an effective way to reduce signs of aging and slim the face.

As with all facial routines, consistency is key. You won’t get results if you don’t practice face yoga regularly, so set a reminder on your phone to make sure that you do your face yoga exercises!

What Are the Best Face Yoga Exercises?

Want to try face yoga for yourself? First, apply a moisturizer like ‘M’ Cream to warm up and lubricate your skin. Then try these easy face yoga exercises:

  1. Using your fists, apply pressure to your forehead. Then slide your fists to the sides to knead out tension. This helps to smooth forehead wrinkles.

  2. Place your index fingers on the inner corner of your brow. Apply pressure, then separate your fingers. Try to keep your forehead relaxed. This will help to eliminate those “eleven” lines between your brows.

  3. Relax your jaw until your mouth forms an “O”. Then look up, keeping your forehead smooth. Hold this pose for 10 seconds.

  4. Smile with your mouth slightly parted. If you need to, you can use your fingers to hold up the corners of your mouth. Stick out your tongue, then gently slide it back and forth in front of your teeth.

  5. Turn your chin up and to the side at a 45-degree angle. Pucker your mouth as if you were going to blow a kiss. Hold this pose for five seconds, then relax and repeat on the other side.
