The formula changed because the tools did.
Super Eye Treatment has sold out repeatedly for years. It was built with the best ingredient technology available when it launched, and it did the job it was designed to do.
We reformulated it anyway. The tools changed.. Not because something was wrong, but because the tools changed. A botanical identified through AI-driven ethno-genomic research. A peptide that mimics what a microcurrent device does. Extraction by supercritical carbon dioxide instead of solvent. None of that existed in usable form when the previous formula was written.
Ten actives now, six of them new.
A Peptide Made for the Eye, Not Adapted to It
The lead active is Acetyl Hexapeptide-8. What matters is not that it is new, but that it was developed specifically for the eye contour rather than borrowed from a face formula. The skin there is the thinnest on the face and sits over a dense network of vessels with almost no cushioning between.
It modulates an inflammatory signal the skin releases under stress, behaves in a melatonin-like way at the skin level, and helps defend collagen against glycation, the process where sugars bind to structural proteins and leave them stiffer and dimmer.
That last one is why it belongs in an eye product now. In 2024, roughly three in ten American adults slept fewer than seven hours a night, and among adults aged 50 to 64 it was closer to one in three. Sleep loss drives glycation, shifts cortisol rhythm, and moves fluid. The eye contour registers all three first.
In the supplier's own in vivo testing on the raw material, measurements at seven, fourteen, and twenty-eight days showed reductions in signs of fatigue, dark circles, and under-eye bag volume. That data belongs to the ingredient. We have not run a clinical study on the finished product, and we are not going to present someone else's results as ours.

Retinol Results, Without the Retinol Problem
Retinol works, and around the eye it frequently stings, flakes, and forces you to stop before it has done anything. Aniba Rosodora Wood Extract is what this formula reaches for instead. Its maker positions it as a retinol alternative with comparable proven efficacy at the ingredient level and no irritation potential.
How it was found is the part that dates the formula. The compound was identified through AI-driven ethno-genomic research, a discovery route that did not exist commercially a few years ago. The material is upcycled from rosewood chips left over from fragrance distillation, so nothing is felled for skincare. Sustainably sourced in Peru with CITES documentation.
Two Timelines, Both Real
Two new film formers work on application: a biopolymer of tara gum and red algae that gives a tensor effect while shielding against particulate pollution, and an acerola and pullulan pairing for smoothing and lifting. Part of what you see in the first minute is optical. A mica-based effect pigment brightens and blurs the eye contour the way good light does. That is honest work, and it is not the same thing as biology.
The slower layer runs on roughly a four-week clock. Tetrapeptide-1 was inspired by microcurrent devices and mimics that electrical stimulation to lift the upper face, targeting crow's feet. Alongside it, a xylitol-derived complex reduces water loss and boosts the skin's own hyaluronic acid production.
What Came Out
Cyclopentasiloxane, commonly called D5, is gone. EU Regulation 2024/1328 caps that family of silicones at a trace level, with leave-on cosmetics required to comply by June 2027. We had roughly a year of runway. We used none of it.
Linalool and Citrus Aurantium Amara Flower Water are out too, so the formula now declares zero EU fragrance allergens. Nothing required that. A few millimeters from the eye, it seemed like the obvious call.
Also gone: diethyl phthalate, alcohol, EDTA, hydrolyzed wheat protein, and free glycolic acid. Glycolic remains, but bound inside the polymer shell of our copper peptide system rather than floating loose near the eye.
Colloidal platinum is out as well, and it is the one worth pausing on. Platinum was a luxury signifier in the 2000s, the kind of ingredient that justified a price on the box more than it justified itself in the formula. Removing it is a statement about how we dose now: for function, not for the ingredient list.
The One Thing We Didn't Touch
X-50 Antiaging carried over unchanged, and it will in every version of this product we make. An encapsulated copper peptide in a biocompatible polymer shell, with a fibroblast-targeting peptide on the exterior to direct it where it needs to go. It promotes collagen and elastin gene expression. The inclusion rate looks negligible on paper and is not: this is a receptor-targeted delivery system sold by the gram rather than the kilogram.
Three more carried over with it. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 for matrix degradation and inflammaging, beta-glucan for soothing and barrier support, and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid for hydration.
If you have used Super Eye Treatment before, the core of what you were buying is still the core of what you are buying. Everything around it is newer.
